The Image Bank - Ollie

One of the features with have on our newsletters from both PhotoTraining4U and MarkCleghorn.com is The Image Bank.

This is where we take an image from one of our films and give you the information  on how it was taken and then finished.

The shot above of Ollie was taken on location at a local train station during an apprentice film day on PhotoTraining4U, to demonstrate the power of portable flash on very sunny locations, using an Elincrom Quadra portable flash positioned above the subject to give a strong downward direction to the light.

The Exposure was determined to over power the natural sunlight hitting the scene by 2 stops more. ISO 100 Shutter Speed 1/160th Aperture F16

Post production was used to give more contrast and a cross process EFX using a standard onOne Software Photo Tools pre set.
