Our very own Landscape master Nigel Forster was commissioned on behalf of No 10 Downing Street

Our very own Landscape master Nigel Forster was commissioned on behalf of No 10 Downing Street to photograph the Brecon Beacons backdrops to the main NATO conference venue at the Celtic Manor.

The commission involved creating a series of images up to 35m long by 5m high that reflect the scale and significance of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. The Prime Minister referred to the significance of these images as a symbol of the landscape of Wales and as a backdrop to the conference in his opening address to delegates. They are the most prominent feature in the global media coverage of this prestigious event.

The main conference hall images are of Pen y Fan and the Central Beacons area; oriented north, east south and west, while the second room (the venue for the military leaders conference) have images of the Black Mountains as a backdrop.

Nigel runs landscape workshops in the Brecon Beacons and for more information on spending a day with him in these stunning locations use this link www.creativephotographywales.com
