The Second Shooter!

Many wedding photographers often work as a double team. The main shooter as we say capturing the traditional photography then a second shooter working in tandem capturing the different side of the pictures.

The skill of the second shooter is to be able to see expression and capture the candid images on the day. This is a skill that PhotoTraining4U wedding master Sue Williams has down to a fine art. Sue and her husband PhotoTraining4U wedding master Gary Williams run a very successful wedding and portrait business from their home. They have created their own magical way of creating a happy client and at the same time making a superb living from photography – which after all is not a sin but an essential skill in running a business.

Sue initially started working with Gary on weddings carrying his bag and all around assistant. It wasn't long before Sue had a camera in her hands and was working along side Gary as his second shooter. Both sets of images taken on the day are equally as important as the other. Gary will tell you himself it that Sue's images will often sell as much as his and sometimes more.

We were lucky enough recently to Get Sue to second shoot on a wedding with Mark that we had permission to film for PT4U that will be able to see soon on the site.

You can find Gary and Sue's films they have made for PT4U in the wedding section of the Knowledge bank or by clicking HERE
