Highlights from Photokina 2012 Part Three

If you don't already know Photokina is the largest photographic trade show in the world and s held in Cologne every two years. It spans over nine halls and covers everything photographic.

Mark and Kenny spent the two days shooting video on what's new and up and coming and you'll be able to see the films on PT4U in the next few days. Until then we thought we'd share you some of the highlights with you here.

Pretty much all of the camera companies at the show were showcasing a compact camera with interchangable lenses. We got our hands on the Fuji XE-1a 16MP camera that supports 5 compatible Prime "XF" lenses, High res OLED Viewfinder, TTL Hot Shoe and Sync Terminal, Pop-up Flash and Full manual controls. We were very impressed and will be making some film for PT4U very soon on the Fuji compact range.

One of the products that Mark and Kenny thought was brilliant at the show were the new LED lights by Metz to sit on your camera hotshoe. They came in three sizes and could also be fixed together to make a larger bank of light.

Eizo launched five new monitors at Photokina and had monitors for every price range starting from just under £500 upto a £16,000 monitor that was incredible.

More tomorrow.
